INES-Ruhengeri Environmental Club Takes Action for the Environment

The INES-Ruhengeri Environmental Club, in collaboration with Roots & Shoots Rwanda, carried out an environmental action that highlighted a simple but powerful message: taking care of the environment starts with us.

This activity brought together students and environmental champions who understand that protecting nature requires commitment, teamwork, and consistent action. Through their participation, the club members demonstrated that young people can lead meaningful change in their communities.

The initiative also strengthened the role of school and university environmental clubs as important platforms for climate education, conservation awareness, and community engagement.

By taking action together, the students showed that environmental leadership is not only about words, but about practical steps that create visible impact.

Roots & Shoots Rwanda celebrates the commitment of INES-Ruhengeri Environmental Club and encourages more young people to take part in activities that protect and restore our environment.
