At EP Mulinja, little hands planted more than seeds; they planted hope, teamwork, and a greener future.
Roots & Shoots Rwanda worked with students and mentors to build a kitchen garden that will serve as a practical learning space for environmental education. Through this activity, students learned the value of growing food, protecting soil, caring for plants, and working together toward a shared goal.
The kitchen garden is more than a school project. It is a living classroom where children can learn responsibility, patience, sustainability, and the connection between nature and daily life. By participating in the process, students gained hands-on experience and a stronger sense of ownership over their environment.
Roots & Shoots Rwanda is proud to support young learners at EP Mulinja as they grow into future environmental leaders.
