Campus Community Cleanup at UNILAK

About This Event

Together with the Terra Care Club at UNILAK, Roots & Shoots Rwanda took part in a community cleanup of the surroundings of UNILAK campus — inspiring students to take personal responsibility for environmental protection and fostering a culture of sustainable action at the individual level.

What Happened

Students from the Terra Care environmental club joined Roots & Shoots Rwanda volunteers to clean the campus grounds and surrounding streets. The activity removed litter, cleared overgrown areas, and left the campus visibly cleaner and safer.

Beyond the physical cleanup, the event sparked conversations about individual responsibility — reinforcing the message that each person's daily choices have an impact on the shared environment.
